UK Prime Minister Liz Truss has announced she will step down after 45 days in office.
She will become the shortest-serving prime minister in UK history.
In a brief speech outside Downing Street, Ms Truss said: "I recognise that I cannot deliver the mandate on which I was elected by the Conservative Party."
Her departure has triggered the second Conservative leadership election in four months.
