Los Angeles wildfires leave dozens injured and at least two dead, say officials | BBC News

At least two people have been killed and dozens more injured as firefighters in Los Angeles battle wildfires around the city.

LA Fire Chief Kristin Crowley says the four ongoing fires – Palisades, Eaton, Hurst and Woodley – are "stretching the capacity of emergency services to their maximum limits”.

The Palisades fire, which broke out yesterday, has so far burnt more than 1,000 structures with 37,000 residents under an evacuation order, officials say.

A further 32,500 people have been told to flee their homes as a result of the Eaton Fire.
