Maine shootings: Hundreds of US police search for gunman as 16 feared dead – BBC News


At least 16 people are feared dead and up to 60 have been injured after shootings in Maine, US.

The shootings happened in two locations – a restaurant and a bowling alley – in the small city of Lewiston.

Hundreds of police officers across the state are involved in a manhunt.

Police have named Robert Card, 40, as a person of interest, saying he is "armed and dangerous".
