Russia has been accused of launching a "massive missile attack" on several civilian buildings in Kryvyi Rih – the home city of Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky.
At least six people died and several others were injured, officials said.
Elsewhere in the country, officials said buildings were hit in a drone attack in Kharkiv and that Kyiv’s air defences successfully repelled air attacks.
The latest hostilities come after Kyiv’s counter-offensive against Russian forces got under way – with Ukraine saying their troops have recaptured seven settlements.
