As some Twitter users complain on the site following its acquisition by Elon Musk, others tweet saying they are leaving for another site – Mastodon.
Eugen Rochko created Mastodon in 2016 to offer online users what he calls a reliable and regulated space to discuss and connect over relevant issues.
Mastodon founder Rochko told Newsnight that even a platform as big as Twitter could fail and disappear from everyday use, especially when owned by one company “bought out by controversial billionaires”.
