Millions go hungry in Somalia’s worst drought crisis for decades – BBC News

The UN children’s agency UNICEF is warning that Somalia could suffer rates of infant deaths unseen for half a century.

The country is suffering its worst drought for 40 years, with climate change and conflict creating severe food shortages.

Many children are already dying and the situation is getting worse. Less than half the emergency appeal funds needed to help them has been donated.

Sophie Raworth presents BBC News at Ten reporting by Andrew Harding, who’s been to Dolow where people are travelling in search of help.
