A BBC investigation has found that, between July 2021 and August 2022, 116 unaccompanied children who crossed the English Channel disappeared from UK hotels.
The children went missing after temporarily being put in the hotels by the Home Office.
Charities fear the children, some as young as 11 years old, risk being exploited.
Newsnight’s UK Editor Sima Kotecha investigates the unprecedented rise in Channel crossings and what happens to the most vulnerable of those risking their lives to come to the UK.
