Wendy Buckney knew about her neighbour Brian Whitelock’s past and wanted to give him a second chance.
He had moved into a flat across the road from the 71-year-old in Swansea, Wales, after serving 18 years in prison for murder and manslaughter, including killing his own brother.
Then, he killed "bubbly and caring" Wendy in a drug-fuelled and "brutal" murder.
