Nigeria flood affects up two million people, says official | BBC News


The governor of Nigeria’s northeastern Borno state has told the BBC that up to two million people have been affected by major flooding in the region.

The floods began when a dam overflowed following heavy rains.

Local officials said it was the worst flooding in the state in two decades.
