Nigeria: Millions of children face acute hunger | BBC News


Around 4.4 million children under the age of five in northern Nigeria are acutely malnourished, according to the United Nations’ World Food Programme.

That’s more than double last years figures, the organisation says.

Families are grappling with high food inflation and security concerns, and many can no longer afford to feed their children.
