HMS Diamond is among the ships to have joined the US-led operation to protect merchant shipping in the Red Sea.
Since November, the Houthis have been attacking ships in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden in what they say is a campaign of solidarity with Palestinians during Israel’s war in Gaza.
The BBC was given access to HMS Diamond during a mission in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.
HMS Diamond has not yet shot down any Houthi missiles. But it has destroyed nine Houthi drones – seven of them in just one night in January.
