Overturning the legal right of all Americans to abortion would be an attack on freedoms, the US Vice President Kamala Harris has said.
Ms Harris made the remarks after a document was leaked suggesting the Supreme Court may be about to reverse the landmark 1973 Roe v Wade ruling.
She accused Republican leaders of "weaponising the use of the law against women".
The leaked document – labelled "1st Draft" – is not a final ruling, and the opinions of judges could change. But if Roe v Wade is overturned, around half of US states could ban abortions.
