Palestinian prisoners released by Israel after Hamas frees hostages | BBC News


Israel’s prison service says that all 183 Palestinian prisoners due to be released today have now been freed.

According to the Palestine Red Crescent Society, seven of them have been taken to hospital.

The prisoners were released after Hamas freed three Israeli hostages.

Or Levy, Ohad Ben Ami and Eli Sharabi will be reunited with their families in southern Israel.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said they would "not gloss over the shocking scenes" from Gaza today.
