US President Joe Biden gave a brief statement after shots were fired at Donald Trump’s rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, with the attacker killed and a spectator reported dead.
Federal agencies are involved in investigating the shooting, President Biden said.
Biden said he hoped to speak with Donald Trump later tonight, adding that he had been thoroughly briefed on what happened.
Trump said he was shot in the ear, describing “whizzing sound” and feeling a “bullet ripping through his skin."
