US President Donald Trump and Governor of Minnesota Tim Walz have had a "productive call" after the second fatal shooting of a US citizen by federal agents in recent weeks.
During the call, Walz "made the case that we need impartial investigations of the Minneapolis shootings involving federal agents, and that we need to reduce the number of federal agents in Minnesota", the governor says.
Walz also said the president is looking into reducing the number of federal agents in the state.
Trump says the Democrat is also "happy" that the president’s top border official Tom Homan is headed to Minneapolis, where Trump says he’ll be "tough but fair".
