President Zelensky rejects Trump’s bid for $500bn of Ukraine’s natural resources | BBC News


Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says he has rejected US President Donald Trump’s proposal to give the US access to $500bn of Ukraine’s vast reserves of critical minerals.

Ukraine holds huge deposits of rare earth minerals and natural resources; including lithium, titanium, coal, gas, oil and uranium.

Many of the minerals, however, are in areas now controlled by Russian troops.
