Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelensky, said Europe needs to step up and learn how to take care of itself, in an address to the World Economic Forum in Davos, an international organisation that shapes global agendas.
Mr Zelensky said everyone was now waiting to see what President Trump would do next, but no one was looking to Europe.
Ukraine’s leader insisted Europe needed a united security and defence policy, and should be willing to increase spending to guarantee its own security from emerging threats.
