President Volodymyr Zelensky has visited Snake Island where Ukrainian soldiers defied a Russian warship at the beginning of the invasion.
He also thanked the US after Washington agreed to supply cluster bombs to Ukraine.
The weapon, which Russia has been using since the start of the war, has been banned by more than 100 countries around the world.
Despite this, Ukraine has been pressing for the artillery shells, which drop multiple explosives, to help with their counter offensive against Russian forces.
