Rocket launches first Chinese civilian into space – BBC News


China has sent three astronauts to its Tiangong Space Station, putting a civilian into orbit for the first time.

The Shenzhou-16 mission took off from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre on Tuesday morning in the Gobi desert in the country’s northwest.
