Russia intensifies bombardment of Ukrainian cities as residents flee – BBC News

Russia has "doubled" bombardments on cities and towns in southern Ukraine, according to regional government figures.

Kherson has been one of the cities which has seen shelling intensify in recent months as civilians and soldiers brace for winter.

Some residents have left their homes in Kherson to seek refuge in the port city of Odessa, with little more than the clothes on their back.
