There are claims that Russia is promoting the use of nuclear weapons, with state propaganda trying to make Russians think a nuclear war is not a bad thing.
Russian journalist and Nobel peace prize laureate, Dmitry Muratov, Russian said state TV channels have been talking about “a nuclear tsunami that would wash away America”.
Mr Muratov said he couldn’t rule out President Vladimir Putin pressing the nuclear button.
However, state propaganda portrays Russia as a country of peace, and Ukraine and the West as the aggressors.
