Russian diamonds set for ban under new EU sanctions | BBC News

Russia’s rough diamonds are one of the few major exports still untouched by sanctions in response to President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine last year.

But the European Union (EU) and the G7 are about to impose a ban on them.

Critics have said revenue from the industry helps to finance the war in Ukraine.
