A massive clean-up operation is under way in the Spanish city of Valencia after record-breaking rainfall.
Dozens of cars were submerged as floodwater surged through neighbourhoods of the city, leaving homes and businesses waterlogged.
The severe weather forced authorities to close the city’s metro system and several roads, and a team of ambulance workers had to be rescued from their vehicles.
The nearby regions of Alicante and Castellón were also badly affected.
