A state funeral has been held in Japan for the country’s former prime minister Shinzo Abe – who was assassinated in July.
The killing of the 67-year-old shocked a country unused to gun crimes or political violence.
The state funeral drew thousands of guests – including local and global leaders, notably from Japan’s closest allies.
But it also faced a backlash as protesters marched against the decision to hold the funeral.
