Six Nations: Can smart mouthguards help tackle rugby injuries? | BBC News


Smart mouthguards are the latest innovation in sports technology and are being used in the men’s Six Nations for the first time.

They are fitted with micro-sensors that measure the force and acceleration in the head when there is a collision.

Coaches believe it is a step towards helping to better understand collision sports, but some of the research has been questioned by concussion experts.
