The UN has renewed calls for both sides in Sudan to fully abide by a three-day ceasefire and to allow access to humanitarian workers.
Renewed fighting is threatening the 72-hour truce, with violence on the western outskirts of Omdurman – a city across the Nile from the capital Khartoum.
Thousands of Sudanese and foreign nationals are still trying to get out of the country.
