The US government has issued sanctions against four Sudanese companies and several individuals for fuelling the ongoing war between rival military forces.
These sanctions will also cut off key financial flows to the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces.
Around 25 million people are now in need of humanitarian aid and protection as a result of the country’s conflict, according to the UN.
