The FBI has released a statement which says the person who drove a car into a crowd of people in New Orleans, killing 10, is dead and the attack is being investigated as an "act of terrorism".
The statement says that the person "engaged with local law enforcement and is now deceased".
Police say the driver was "hell-bent on creating the carnage he did" and also opened fire on officers.
