US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi has defended her trip to Taiwan during a press conference in Japan, as China conducts live fire military drills around the island following her visit.
She said that the US would not allow China to isolate Taiwan, but the intention of tour of Asia was not to change the status quo of the region.
