Tropical Storm Ana kills dozens in Malawi, Madagascar and Mozambique – BBC News


Southern Africa has been hit by flooding that has left more than 70 dead across the region in the wake of Tropical Storm Ana.

Madagascar, Mozambique and Malawi have all suffered from the storm with thousands forced to leave their homes.

In Malawi, at least 11 people have died. The country has suffered a nationwide power cut and some areas have been declared disaster zones. Power companies are doing what they can to restore power but much of the country remains without.

As those hit by the storms power deal with damage, they must also brace themselves for a new cyclone which is on the way.
