A tropical storm has been hindering efforts to help the survivors of the powerful earthquake in Haiti.
Almost 2,000 people are known to have died. Tens of thousands of people left homeless by the quake had to decide whether to brave the storm under flimsy tarpaulins or risk returning to buildings damaged by the tremor.
Unicef says half a million children have been left with limited or no access to shelter and safe water.
