Although Trump has halted the US military operation to escort ships through the Strait of Hormuz, a US blockade of Iranian ports will remain in place, he said.
China’s foreign minister Wang Yi met his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi for talks in Beijing on Wednesday, to "discuss bilateral relations and regional and international developments", Iran’s Fars news agency reported earlier.
