ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Il Presidente del Consiglio, Giorgia Meloni, ha avuto oggi una conversazione telefonica con il Santo Padre sui prossimi passi da compiere per costruire una pace giusta e duratura in Ucraina.
Il colloquio fa seguito alla telefonata di ieri con il Presidente Trump e con altri leader europei, nel corso della quale è stato chiesto al Presidente del Consiglio italiano di verificare la disponibilità della Santa Sede a ospitare i negoziati.
Trovando nel Santo Padre conferma della disponibilità ad accogliere in Vaticano i prossimi colloqui tra le parti, il Presidente del Consiglio ha espresso profonda gratitudine per l’apertura di Papa Leone XIV e per il suo incessante impegno a favore della pace. Lo rende noto Palazzo Chigi.
