A UK haulage firm is hoping to deliver Christmas presents and vital aid to Ukrainians as the country faces the prospect of a bitter winter.
Ukraine’s energy infrastructure has been targeted in a wave of Russian attacks in recent weeks, which authorities saying the country’s power supply has been cut by a third.
But Scott Stones of British haulage firm Waites and Stones Ltd wants to provide a vital lifeline and is preparing to travel from England to Ukraine with supplies.
Having already made the trip a number of times, he is returning with items that include thermal clothing and torches, as well as Christmas presents.
