UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has paid tribute to Sir David Amess, who was killed after being stabbed to death in his Essex constituency.
“Sir David "believed passionately in this country and in its future,” he said. "We’ve lost today a fine public servant and a much-loved friend and colleague."
He said everyone was "deeply shocked and heart-stricken" and that his thoughts were with Sir David’s family.
