Ukraine claims its forces have captured two Chinese nationals fighting as part of the Russian army.
President Zelensky said they had ID and bank cards on them when they were were captured in the eastern Donetsk region and he added they have information indicating that the number of such Chinese citizens fighting is much higher than two.
He has instructed Ukraine’s Foreign Minister to contact Beijing for some reaction.
Russia has previously used North Korean troops to try and push Ukraine out of the Kursk region.
