The town of Rodynske in Ukraine’s Donetsk region has been the scene of intense Russian drone attacks and is on the frontline of the war.
The BBC’s Yogita Limaye was reporting from Rodynske when a Russian drone struck nearby, forcing the journalist and her crew to run for cover.
It’s part of a new push by Russian forces to advance further into Ukraine. President Zelensky says Russia has massed more than 50,000 troops, including some of its best forces, near Ukraine’s northeastern Sumy region, in preparation for a large-scale summer offensive
The build-up comes as Russia prepares to present its conditions for proceeding with ceasefire talks.
Jane Hill presents BBC News at Ten reporting by Yogita Limaye, Sanjay Ganguly, Imogen Anderson, Jessica Parker and James Waterhouse.
