Ukrainians celebrated independence across the country on 25/08 – and there’s great pride that they’ve held the Russian invasion at bay, and are still re-taking occupied areas, albeit slowly. But how to end a conflict that the Pentagon estimates has caused half a million casualties? For many here and their supporters abroad the aim seems to be putting such pressure on the Russian military that Vladimir Putin is overthrown.
