Ukraine looking to close military conscription loopholes | BBC News


Officials in Ukraine have claimed thousands of men could be using loopholes to avoid being drafted into its military.

Under Martial Law, Ukrainian men between 18 and 60 can’t leave the country as they could be called up to fight in the war against Russia.

But current conscription processes are done at centres based around Ukraine with men of fighting age arriving in person to join the army – with officials believing thousands could be dodging call-ups by not attending.
