Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky has hailed his nation’s "year of invincibility", one year after Russia’s invasion.
In a television address, President Zelensky said Ukraine would "do everything to win this year".
He also took part in a ceremony honouring Ukrainian soldiers and families. Similar ceremonies are taking place in cities and towns across Ukraine.
In the UK, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak led a national minute’s silence in support of Ukraine.
The occasion has not been mentioned on Russian state television.
