Ukraine has said it is ready to accept a US proposal for an initial 30-day ceasefire with Russia, in a joint statement.
Washington will also immediately restore intelligence sharing and "security assistance" to Ukraine.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said "the ball is in the [Russians’] court", and he will take the offer to Moscow.
