Ukraine’s interior minister has been killed in a helicopter crash in a suburb of the capital Kyiv.
Denys Monastyrsky, who was 42, was a close ally of Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelensky.
Fourteen people died when the helicopter came down at around 8.30am local time near a children’s nursery. One child was killed and 11 injured.
There is no indication the crash was anything other than an accident although the state security service said it was investigating a number of possible causes including sabotage, a technical malfunction or pilot error.
