A UN team has concluded there are "reasonable grounds to believe" sexual violence, including rape and gang rape, was committed during the Hamas attacks in Israel on 7 October.
They also said there was "convincing information" that hostages had been subjected to sexual violence.
Hamas has denied its gunmen sexually assaulted women during the attacks, but the UN report said that “conflict-related sexual violence” occurred in at least three locations – including the Nova music festival site.
The UN report also described reports of sexual violence against Palestinians in Israeli custody, including "unwanted touching of intimate areas" and "prolonged forced nudity".
But, the Israeli foreign ministry rejected these reports, calling them “malicious and baseless claims made against Israel".
