UN to meet Ukrainian officials and world leaders as counter-attack planned for Kherson – BBC News

The head of UN Antonio Guterres is to meet Ukraine’s President and other world leaders to discuss finding a political solution to end the war.

It comes as Ukraine’s armed forces consider launching a counter-offensive in the south.

A senior military officer has told the BBC they aim to recapture the city of Kherson within weeks and are expected to use small drone units.
