Donald Trump is likely to win the 2024 US presidential election after picking up three key battleground states.

The Republican candidate declared victory at his campaign watch party in West Palm Beach, Florida, in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Trump thanked voters and said: "America has given us an unprecedented and powerful mandate”.
