Energy prices surge after strikes hit part of the world’s largest natural gas field shared between Iran and Qatar. Donald Trump said he had no knowledge of the strike and wants Israel not to do it again.
But Iran responds damaging energy plants in several Gulf countries including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates.
A US fighter jet was forced to make an emergency landing at a US base in the Middle East after flying over Iran. Iranian authorities are claiming they struck the jet and said it was seriously damaged.
Meanwhile in Lebanon, authorities say that more than 1,000 people have now been killed as a result of Israeli strikes on the country. Israel says it’s targeting Hezbollah strongholds.
