US President Joe Biden is expected to formally announce his bid for re-election on Tuesday. If he does, he would be the oldest president to do so in history.
Mr Biden is currently 80 years old and would be 86 at the end of a potential second term.
So far, he doesn’t face any major challenges for the Democratic nomination, but there are several Republican candidates officially vying to take him on – including former president Donald Trump and ambassador Nikki Haley.
Florida governor Ron DeSantis is also expected to run.
