NIZZA (FRANCIA) (ITALPRESS) – La presidente della Commissione europea, Ursula von der Leyen, ha annunciato il finanziamento di progetti per un valore complessivo di un miliardo di euro a favore dell’economia delle località costiere.
Von der Leyen, intervenendo alla Conferenza delle Nazioni Unite sugli oceani a Nizza, ha precisato che l’impegno è quello di “dimezzare l’inquinamento da plastica e nutrienti” entro cinque anni. “L’obiettivo è riportare in vita il 20% degli ecosistemi marini europei entro il 2030”, ha detto la presidente della Commissione Ue. La Conferenza Onu sugli oceani è in programma a Nizza dal 9 al 13 giugno.
