An all-female crew, including pop star Katy Perry, are back on Earth after reaching space on Jeff Bezos’s Blue Origin rocket.
Singer Perry, broadcaster Gayle King, journalist Lauren Sanchez, rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, civil rights activist Amanda Nguyen and film producer Kerianne Flynn took part in the 11-minute flight.
It was the first all-female crewed expedition since a solo Soviet mission in 1963 – though Blue Origin is an autonomous rocket which doesn’t need a pilot.
