The US has approved plans for a series of strikes on Iranian targets in Syria and Iraq.

Iran denies direct involvement in the drone attack – but there are a number of pro-Iranian militias based in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, the Palestinian territories and as far south as Yemen. With all opposed to Israel and the United States.
